Tutor Talks:
All tutors are expected to attend all Tutor Talks for
ongoing training. Upcoming dates include the following
Saturdays: 9/27/08,
11/8/08, & 2/7/09. All Tutor Talks are 10:30AM-12:30PM.

REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED
For your convenience, we accept registration delivered by
mail or in person to our office. The cost is $30. This is
a tax-deductible donation to the Literacy Action Center
that entitles you to a one-year membership with us, tutor
training, training materials, and staff support during
your tutoring experience. (Some scholarship funds are
available—please call Deb at 265-9081 for information.)
We need many volunteers. We are always in
need of good volunteers to work as tutors, on our Board of
Trustees, in our office, and on special projects. We
appreciate your help in whatever way you wish to serve.

answer your questions. (Please note that attending a Tutor
Training Workshop is usually the first step to helping us
because it helps you better understand who we are and what
we do.)

confirmation of your enrollment in the Workshop and
further instructions to you the week before the Workshop
