VOLUNTEERS &
TUTORS
Become a
Tutor
Literacy Tutors are volunteers who help adult learners
develop and use reading and writing skills to meet
self-identified goals. They work one-to-one with an
individual for a minimum of six months, meeting twice
weekly with the learner for about 1 to 1-1/2 hours each
time in a neutral, public place, such as a library.
Tutor
Training
Each tutor must complete
a 14-hour Tutor Training Workshop for initial training and
attend quarterly Tutor Talks (in-service training
sessions) for ongoing tutor training.
Registration is
required for the training session.
See the
Calendar for Training
Dates.
Thank You
for Your Volunteer Commitment!!
